How much water should you drink each day?

It is recommended to drink 8x8 ounces water (2 liters) per day. This is a minimum amount.
It can be often heard that 8 glasses of water each day is good and healthy. Though some people drink more water for example the body builders, but they sweat a lot while doing the exercises. The climate is also an important factor on how much water should we consume each day.

For example if you would ask a person in Alaska how much water does he drink per day, you would be surprised, because he would not drink a lot. But if you would ask a person who lives in for example near a desert, he would say, he drinks a gallon or perhaps more, because he sweating 2-3 pints per hour, so he must replace the loss of the water of his body. So as we see, the climate affects the water intake.

As we saw earlier we need to consume minimum 2 liters of water every day in order to help our body to work properly. But why do we need to consume so much water daily? The answer is that because we lose water during the day. For instance you lose water when you sweat, and when you are breathing you also lose water as a water vapor. And of course when you urinate you also lose water.

Drinking water to lose weight

Now you know how much water should you drink to stay healthy. Do you want to know exactly how much is the amount of the water that helps you to lose weight, and to satisfy your hunger? The answer is you can drink as much water as you can, until you feel full. It is recommended to drink water while you are eating, because this can help you effectively suppress your hunger. So this can be a solution for losing weight. This is a good method to lose weight, if you don't mind the many visits to the toilet.

Drinking water helps your body to digest the foods. So as we saw, we need to consume 2 liters of water each day to keep our body working properly. But if you want to lose weight you have to drink a little bit more water in order to lose weight. So if you are drinking 2.5-3 liters per day instead of 2 liters, it will help you lose weight quickly and easily.

Why it is a problem if you don’t drink enough- What does dehydration means?

If you want your body to work properly and to burn the calories quickly, you need to consume enough water. Dehydration means that your body does not get enough water to work properly. So if your body is dehydrated your calorie burning procedure will slow down, and you won't lose weight so quickly.

If your body is dehydrated your blood volume will reduce, and it means that our muscles get only a reduced amount of oxygen. That's why you will feel yourself exhausted and tired.
Water also helps your body to flush out the unwanted toxins form your body.

We discussed how important to drink enough water and we saw that you should drink minimum 8x8 ounce glasses of water (2 liters) every day, and if you want to lose weight drink minimum 2.5-3 liters of water on a daily basis.
